Service Opportunities
St. Paul praises the faith and work of our women who contribute so much to the mission and ministry of our church and community.
Altar Guild
This service group maintains both Traditional and Contemporary Altars for all services, as
well as the Vestments, linens, candles, flowers, and communion ware. There are four meetings each year and an enjoyable dinner in August. Please call Erin Bernhardt at (216) 374-8536 and join us as we serve the Lord.
Banner Committee
A hard working group of women work year round to put together some of the most beautiful worship and baptismal banners you’ll ever see! The ladies meet on the second Monday of the month at 7:00pm to do their work. Contact Jennifer Panaccione (440) 452-7564 to involved.
Women’s Bible Studies
Join our ladies for Wednesday morning Bible study. They gather each week in the Luther Room (just off the Narthex) from 9-11:00am. They start a new study each 6-8 weeks, but newcomers are always welcomed at anytime! Janet Knaggs would be happy to share more about this group; (440) 327-6032 or janet_knaggs@hotmail.com.
Martha Guild
Martha Guild prepares and serves a luncheon or refreshments at St. Paul following the funeral or memorial service for a member of our congregation (or for immediate family members). These luncheons provide an opportunity for family and friends to share both a meal and special memories in a relaxed social setting while allowing Martha Guild members an opportunity for fellowship and ministry. Ways to serve include helping in the kitchen with set-up, food preparation, serving, and/or clean-up; baking desserts; fixing potato/pasta salads; and shopping for needed fresh produce and deli items. Members are free to use their talents in a specific way or help wherever the need is greatest. Volunteers are called on a rotating basis to accommodate busy schedules. We always welcome new members to join our team. Anita Fjeldstad can provide more information; (440) 315-4566.
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)
LWML is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod. As the mission arm of Women’s Ministry, this group seeks to serve God through mission projects both here and abroad. The Mite Boxes are probably the most recognized part that help carryout the missions. No membership is required to participate. All women of St. Paul are automatically members of the LWML. Watch the bulletin for meeting dates and Bible study opportunities. Inspiring stories and mission updates are featured in literature like The Lutheran Women’s Quarterly, which is made available by the LWML. Pick up your copy outside either worship service. Contact Nancy Spaudie at (440) 476-5442 for additional information.
